I think they would like to keep the show, but there are at least three to four other places interested. With all the interest that has been expressed, if we cannot come to an agreement with Netflix, we will move on.

From this, we can infer two things. First, Carsey-Werner couldn't come to an agreement with Netflix. Second, the company must have slapped an insane price tag on That '70s Show — because if deep-pocketed Netflix was willing to let the series go, and those other streaming platforms rescinded their interest, then the asking price must simply have been too steep.

What's up with That 70's Show's streaming rights? Carsey-Werner Distribution. I found that 70s show! I love it! WTF right! Then I found these guys and saved a bundle! Discs are in brand new perfect condition! I will be doing all man business with these dudes! Verified purchase: Yes Condition: New. Although the video content appears to be for the most part an authentic reproduction, the packaging is obviously a cheap knock off.

The only thing that identifies the packaging with the TV show is a flimsy almost paper thin cardboard type cover that doesn't quite fit the the also flimsy box that holds the various individual DVD's also in flimsy generic type holders. Sturdiness for future storage is NOT the word that describes this cheap and poorly packaged set.

In retrospect, making this regrettable purchase only lends credence to that old saying - "you get what you pay for". My advice - spend a few extra dollars and purchase the actual studio version of this product that is packaged in the authentic hard cardboard containers that are made for long term storage. I love this show. The only drawback is the storage container. I used to watch this show all the time on tv and decided to buy it.

It comes in one thick case and each DVD is in a small paper pocket so they don't get scratched. No damage, plays well. I recommend this for people who like dry humor or humor in general and the 70s. I've heard this company is kinda notorious for glitches. My copy thankfully works, save for a few moments where it stuttered for a second, but I didn't miss anything.
